 Rationale:
Trough these works I hope to share my experience of living in this remarkable landscape that changes its mood with its ever changing colour, shapes and light, which create a different atmosphere with each new day.

Methodology:
For my source, landscape, I use my photographs as well as painting and drawing on site.
I start with a series of drawings of various size and use a variety of materials such as   charcoal, ink, pencil, watercolour and oil pastels, for their immediacy properties. My intention is then to transfer these drawings to a series of paintings on canvas in oil paint in the studio.
My aim is to experiment with various techniques, such as dry brushing and the layering of thin transparent paint, mostly I like to lay the paint on thick. Also to incorporate in my process marks extracted from the surface of the landscape and focus on the visual and tactile qualities of texture, line, and colour to construct a composition,  which reveals the history of what's underneath without obliterating previous marks.
